Regarding sizing, Hunter boots come in whole sizes only. If you’re between sizes, I would recommend going down a half size. Hunter boots are a little chunky, and I think the boots fit better if they’re a little tighter than too big! I’m usually a size 7.5 or 8 and I’ve reduced the size to a 7.
#1 Do Hunter wellies run large or small? Hunter rubber boots are true to size and are by no means small. They’ve been said to come out big, if anything. On the whole, however, their equipment is rather true to size.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Hunter makes boots and shoes that have been developed for decades. Ask around and it won’t be hard to find someone who has a pair they bought ten or twenty years ago. Best of all, they currently have no intention of replacing them as they still offer excellent performance.

Occasionally, you may notice a white, powdery “bloom” on your Hunter wellies. Because rubber is a natural product and under certain conditions insoluble particles can rise to the surface. This is a common process, characteristic of high-quality natural rubber, and you don’t have to worry about it.
They are very comfortable to walk in and I regularly stomp through woods/mud and up and down hills in mine. Aigle are good, as is Chameau but more expensive. Hunters just aren’t what they used to be. I’m a chameau fan because they’re comfortable and keep my feet warm.
Consider the female version if you have wide calves.
The Huntress has a larger calf circumference – 16.5 inches compared to the 15 inches of the Originals – and a 14″ shaft, which is two inches shorter than the original’s height.
