Ellie is Barney Stinson’s daughter. She was born in 2020 as shown in Last Forever – Part Two. She is the result of Barney’s relationship with the last girl of his perfect month.
Throughout the series, it’s apparent that while Barney is good friends with Ted and Marshall, Lily is really the one who helps him the most as a person. Along with the other main characters, Lily is present at the birth of Barney’s daughter.
Ultimately it is determined that Robin is not pregnant, but it is also determined that she is completely incapable of having a baby. She and Barney are happy not to be pregnant, but Robin doesn’t tell Barney about her infertility until several months later. He responds by hugging her silently.
As many fans have pointed out, in the HIMYM time warp series finale, Barney welcomed a child into the world – and the mother’s identity has never been revealed.
In Challenge Accepted, we discover that not only does Barney get married, but Ted also meets his wife (the character of the same name) on the day of Barney’s wedding. In the Season 7 finale, Barney’s wife turned out to be Robin Scherbatsky.

In the series finale Barney and Robin get married. Then the plot jumps forward through the years. We see the couple argue and eventually divorce. Barney returns to his love of women.
Baby Bop is a good friend of Barney’s and is BJ’s younger sister. She is also Riff’s cousin. Baby Bop is like many precocious children her age. She loves to carry around her yellow blanket and is almost never seen without it, she calls it her “blanket”.

While Barney is off to get diapers, Ted tells Lily why he and Barney decided to adopt a baby. At that moment James and Tom arrive with their son Eli.

All the couples except Barney and Quinn manage to sort out their differences. Despite trying to get rid of their marriage, they realize that marriage shouldn’t be that difficult, but realize they can’t trust each other and break up.
